In Situ

a dark medieval scene

lorem ipsum

What was originally a simple Uni assignment turned into something much larger.

A almost perfectly anatomically accurate representation of a decaying human skull, sculpted on a low poly CT scan, then texture-painted by hand inside blender, all done over the course of ~3 months.

Before & After – Viewport & Render
  • Rocks on the ground and in the backround are 3d scans
  • Chainmail made by instancing to interlocked rings onto a cloth-simulated plane

The skull itself is just shy of 3m faces – it was made for this render only, so i didn’t bother with retopology. Maybe someday.
